Neither as subversively fun as last year’s mega-destructive ‘Project X’, nor as creative as ‘The Hangover’ (on which these co-directors broke through as writers), this further instalment in the Generation Y-acting-badly genre serves as a distinctly average placeholder. Two best friends turn into the angel and the devil on the shoulders of their straight-A buddy (Justin Chon), about to come of legal drinking age. During their wild night, the pleasures run along the typical hetero-douche-bag axis: breaking into a sorority, chucking up during a mechanical bull ride, etc. Still, watch your bro-based audience squirm when two of our heroes are forced to lock lips, then take a stroll across campus nude except for carefully placed tube socks.
