It was a night of firsts for these two Miami singles: first time on a blind date and first night out in Coral Gables. Did they hit it off?

The Drinks: Copper 29

Danny
“The bartender recommended we didn’t operate any machinery for at least two hours. The Lost in Japan really knocked me over!”

Gio
“The specialty drinks were wonderful, and the bartender was nice enough to explain each. He kept pouring them, so I just kept drinking them.”

The Meal: The Local

Danny
“I’m a picky eater but I ate everything: crab hush puppies, beef tartare and gnocchi. The
lo mein he ordered looked pretty, but wasn’t my cup of tea.”

Gio
“We tried a bunch of things, like the salad with vaca frita. Being Cuban, vaca frita is my thing and it was delicious. We also shared fried chicken.”

The Dessert: Bocas House

Danny
“We compromised, because he wanted the fudge shake and I don’t like chocolate, so we ordered the tres leches milk shake. It was so good.”

Gio
“By this point, we were tipsy and stumbled over to Bocas. I couldn’t finish the milk shake but I did try my best. We capped it off with prosecco.”

The Verdict

Danny: ♥♥♥
“Gio is a really nice guy and we bonded. He’s never been in a relationship and wasn’t looking for anything serious, but hopefully it becomes a friendship.”

Gio: ♥♥♥
“The company was great, but I wouldn’t say he’s my type. It was nice to sit down and talk to a total stranger over drinks and food. We hit it off as friends.”
