Ready or not, Coachella 2025 is here. The Indio music festival typically marks one of the earliest live music weekends across the country (and maybe we’re a bit biased, but we’d say its lineup outclasses nearly every other music festival, too). The 2025 edition will inevitably bring with it plenty of bands and DJs to see and amazing things to eat and drink between sets (spoiler: food from some of the best restaurants in Los Angeles). Here’s what you need to know.
What is Coachella?
The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is an annual music festival held over two weekends in Indio, just east of Palm Springs.
When is Coachella?
The festival is held over two weekends, April 11–13 and April 18–20, 2025.
Where is Coachella?
Not in the city of Coachella, surprisingly. Though most of us simply refer to the fest as Coachella, it’s technically the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. So the event actually takes place at the Empire Polo Club, a large field in the city of Indio (which is part of the larger Coachella Valley, a desert area a couple of hours east of L.A. in Riverside County).
When do Coachella tickets go on sale?
Presale for the 2025 fest began in November, and though historically tickets used to quickly sell out, passes are still available for both weekends.
How much are Coachella tickets?
We hope you’ve been saving up (all of the following prices include fees): General admission starts at $649 for weekend one and $599 for weekend two. Shuttle combo tickets cost $779 for the first weekend and $679 for the second. For VIP, it’ll cost you $1,399 for weekend one and $1,199 for weekend two. Check out the Coachella website for wide range of camping rates.
What does the Coachella lineup look like?
Lady Gaga, Green Day, Post Malone and Travis Scott will headline 2025’s festival, with additional sets from Missy Elliott, Charli XCX, the Original Misfits, Megan Thee Stallion, Zedd and more (including last-minute additions of Weezer and Ed Sheeran). Though the lineup is normally released in January, 2025’s roster came quite early with a November announcement.
Will Coachella be live streamed?
Yes! YouTube will once again stream sets from the 2025 edition of the fest (the streaming schedule is still to come). For 2024, you were able to watch streams from six stages, including a new multiview feature that showed four stages at once; this year’s fest teases feeds from seven stages. Streams typically rerun once between days of the fest, and after that you’ll only find brief clips of performances on the official Coachella channel.
