Providing a personalised flower design workshop, the Flower Appreciation Society aim to teach your hens how to make their signature floral head dresses and expand their knowledge of British flowers. Their arrangements are known for their beautiful, natural appearance and the team pick fresh, seasonal blooms for you to work with. Hens can then take their headwear out on the town, for a sophisticated alternative to L plates and sashes.

The best places to shop for beauty products in London
The best places to shop for beauty products in London
From super-luxe perfume emporiums to humble high street pharmacies, we’ve scouted out the shops that will have you sitting pretty in no time Most popular shopping events BeautyMART As a former Vogue beauty director and the co-founder of make-up brand Ruby & Millie, Anna Marie Solowij and Millie Kendall’s beauty credentials aren’t to be sniffed at. The best thing about their Boxpark beauty emporium? There’s no dud shades or dodgy formulas. If a product makes it into BeautyMART’s rigorous edit, it’s a guaranteed keeper, be it a budget lipstick from Kate Moss’ Rimmel collaboration or a hard-to-get-hold-of Japanese cleanser. Space NK London is now home to some 30 Space NK stores, making it all the more impressive that each has the feel of a one-off boutique rather than an international chain. Space NK’s shelves read like a who’s who of high-end beauty: lipsticks by colour specialist Poppy King (aka Lipstick Queen), make-up by Terry de Gunzberg, the woman behind YSL’s much-imitated Touche Eclat concealer, and skincare by super-facialist Eve Lom. For regulars, the aptly named Ndulge loyalty scheme works like a fancier Boots card, with points banked every time you spend. Liberty Liberty’s Beauty Hall is easily one of the loveliest places you’ll ever shop for slap. As well as full-blown cosmetics concessions from big hitters like Nars, Bobbi Brown and Laura Mercier, you’ll find weirdly named wonder products dotted around the shop floor, like Mermaid Hair conditioner, Egyptia

Victoria Beckham interview: ‘I want to meet my customers’
Victoria Beckham interview: ‘I want to meet my customers’
It has taken a year for Victoria Beckham to transform an old fishing apparel shop into Mayfair’s latest luxury outlet. She gives Time Out a guided tour There aren’t many moments in my career when I’ve been driven to wish David Beckham would just bugger off and leave me to it. But the footballer and I have arrived at Victoria’s dramatic, ambitious first store at the same time, and she has opted to catch up with him rather than me. Well, wouldn’t you?The longer the married megastars linger on the vast concrete staircase just out of earshot, the less time I get to talk shop. But we could all learn a lesson in time management from VB – in the time it takes most of us to wait for a bus, the designer might have designed a new fashion line, released a perfume and squeezed in a workout at Barry’s Bootcamp, the formidable Euston gym she patronises when in town. When my rival finally swings off with a chirpy ‘see you for dinner after football’, Victoria Beckham – neat in work-mode black and tottery boots – is profusely apologetic, and gets straight down to business. ‘Shall we do a tour of the store?’It has taken a year to transform No 36 Dover Street from a traditional fishing gear shop into the VB mothership, and the designer chose a conceptual female architect Farshid Moussavi (who also worked on the Olympic park). The risk of commissioning someone who had never worked in retail before has paid off – the space is stunning, with a dramatic atrium that runs the height of the building. ‘

Lykke Li interview: ‘It’s more interesting when you see people who have their own style’
Lykke Li interview: ‘It’s more interesting when you see people who have their own style’
The Swedish singer-songwriter is the unlikely creator of the sleek but affordable Nomad collection at & Other Stories. Stylish Londoners, get your purses ready... While the world’s fashion buyers and writers worry about 2015’s swimwear and the latest permutation of the flip-flop at London Fashion Week, we’re resigning ourselves to putting away the summer wardrobe and going back to black. But there is solace to be found, and it comes from an unlikely source: Swedish indie musician Lykke Li. She has designed a capsule collection of monochromatic womenswear for H&M’s sister brand at & Other Stories that is everything you’d expect from a stylish Scandinavian with a taste for the dark side, and nothing like the usual celebrity-‘designed’ high-street fare. The mix-and-match range focuses on expensive-looking pieces that whisper luxury: perfect black polo-necks and sheeny evening tops, fine gold chains and classic white shirts. This quiet, considered approach is typical of the 28-year-old. It’s there in her most recent album ‘I Never Learn’, a haunting musical document of an excruciating break-up that she recorded in LA. I meet Lykke Li in the middle of Hollywood. So in the middle of Hollywood that I have to negotiate the paparazzi gathering outside a Jennifer Aniston movie premiere on my way to the small restaurant where the singer is taking an alfresco coffee break.Today she’s chipper and smiling, enjoying the LA heat. She wears a sheer black top, marking her out
