In some respects this is more like an installation than a movie. It nevertheless just about manages to sustain interest for an hour or so, as the camera prowls Hollywood's now empty, once glamorous Ambassador Hotel, picking up on snippets of sound, fragments of events - fictional or historic, it's often hard to say - and eerily semi-transparent ghosts from an earlier golden age of movie folk, call girls, gangsters, politicians and ordinary punters. It's all very elegant, teasing and occasionally haunting, but it does wear a little thin at times.
