What? And we mean ‘quietly’. Khoshsokhan’s stories are delivered in an innocent, softly spoken tone that’s only just audible.
Why? He’s not as nervous as he seems. His whispering voice forces a room into silence until they’re hooked on his every word, so each delicately delivered punchline gets the biggest laugh possible. Khoshsokhan’s material cleverly manipulates the crowd, too – you’re constantly trying to work out if he’s really so naive.
