WTF is after hours at the Punk Rock Museum really like?

You can find out with a personal tour this month.

Having taken a tour of Vegas’s Punk Rock Museum with founder and NOFX guitarist and frontman Fat Mike, I personally know it’s an eye-opening experience into the punk rock world with stories you’ve certainly never heard before.

Fat Mike actually collected all of the stuff you’ll find in this boxy two-story building. We’re talking show flyers, ratty T-shirts, tour-worn clothing, leather jackets, instruments and handwritten lyrics and notes—like the postcard a then-14-year-old Dave Grohl sent to hardcore band Necros that read, “Send me info on the band and when they’re going to play in D.C. Send a sticker too please.”

So who better to tour you around this trove of punk rock history than the guy who called the artists and scooped it all up? Fat Mike is planning three private tours this month (November 21, 22 and 24) where you can book a spin through the museum with up to 10 friends and have him all to yourself from 9 to 10:30pm. Plus, on November 16, his bandmate Smelly will lead the museum’s first-ever exclusive late-night private tour.

As for the price, the press release says “it ain’t cheap.” An email to them for more details only led to a response that you’ll need to reach out directly to morat@thepunkrockmuseum.com to book the private tour. How punk rock of them is that.

Of course, if you’re not in town for these exclusive tours, the Punk Rock Museum always has guided tours led by other punk rock legends.

And when you go, don’t forget to pop into the Triple Down, the museum’s resident bar, for a drink. Perhaps you’ll gravitate to the Fletcher ($14), a rum and Coke served in a Pringles can with the chips poured out on a plate.
