This luxury Strip resort now offers cooking and mixology classes

Fontainebleau debuts its Signature Series.

For those who want to learn the fine art of sushi making, how to prepare the perfect pasta or just want to impress your holiday guests this season with some festive decorations or signature sweets, Fontainebleau Las Vegas has a class for you.  

Called the Signature Series, the luxury resort is introducing interactive classes led by the resort’s expert chefs, mixologists and decorators. Chef and vice President of culinary operations Joseph Leibowitz says it’s a “celebration of culinary artistry and education, designed to inspire and elevate home cooking to new heights.”

Classes are already underway and will be ongoing, with each one tailored to the season. Tickets are available for purchase online. Here’s a look at what’s being offered.

The Perfect Pour 
September 21, 1–3pm 
Location: Collins, $175 per person (must be 21 or older)
Up to 12 seats available

In celebration of National Bourbon Month, director of beverage development Juyoung Kang will show wannabe mixologists how to prepare two cocktails: a proper old-fashioned and the paper plane.

The Art of the Grill
October 5, 11am–2pm 
Location: La Côte, $185 per person
Up to 12 seats available

Executive chef Patrick Munster of Don’s Prime will guide guests through a masterclass that explores grilling styles, cooking with wood and how to make flavorful sauces, marinades and sides. The Art of the Grill includes a three-course lunch, poolside on the La Côte patio.

Art of Sushi 
October 9, November 12 and December 11, 7pm 
Location: Komodo, $110 per person
Up to 25 seats available

Learn the fine art of sushi making. Chefs will take guests through the step-by-step process to create their very own sushi rolls. You’ll start with a welcome cocktail, then put on your apron and get to work making two different rolls. For an additional $65 per person, guests can add a three-course omakase tasting with cocktail pairings following the course. 

A Passion for Pasta
October 17, 4–6:30pm 
Location: Vida, $150 per person
Up to 12 seats available

Led by acclaimed Italian-born chef Stefano Chiarugi, attendees will learn everything there is to know about making homemade pasta from whipping up irresistible fillings for stuffed pastas to sauce preparation. Cap off the evening with a three-course dinner with Italian wine pairings.

The Perfect Pair
November 16, 6–8pm
Location: Don’s Prime, $250 per person (must be 21 or older)

Nothing elevates a dinner party like a perfect wine pairing. Master sommelier Kevin Reilly leads guests on an interactive food and wine pairing experience, covering pairing fundamentals and classic combinations. 

Deck the Doors 
November 30, 11am-2pm
Location: Azul, $125 per person
Up to 15 seats available

While you enjoy a cocktail and snacks, Fontainebleau’s horticulture team will teach a class on how to make a festive wreath that you’ll take home for the holidays.   

Holiday Sweets
December 7, 11am–2pm
Location: Pastry Shop, $145 per person
Up to 10 seats available

Join the resort’s pastry team for a lesson on how to make some classic showstopping holiday desserts, including such favorites as bûche de Noël and peppermint pretzel bark. Guests will enjoy seasonal sweets while sipping classic holiday coffees and cocktails. 

Discover Dim Sum
February 1, 1–4pm
Location: Washing Potato, $165 per person
Up to 12 seats available

Michelin-starred chef Richard Chen leads this hands-on class. Following a welcome cocktail, guests will learn how to make dim sum specialties like shu mai and har gow. The class concludes with a three-course lunch and cocktail pairing.

Barista Academy 
March 1, 6–8pm 
Location: Café Cuto, $125 per person
Up to 6 seats available

Learn how to create your own latte art. In celebration of National Barista Day, guests enrolling at Barista Academy will discover grind beans and prepare a coffee and learn how to create different latte art patterns like the rosetta, swans and the leaf.
