Lucky number seven. Calling Las Vegas “his second home,” Gordon Ramsay has opened his seventh restaurant (and second burger joint) in the neon city. And naturally, he did it style, posing with Vegas showgirls, a branded Hackney carriage taxi and walking arm-in-arm with his Food Stars costar Lisa Vanderpump, who recently opened her own retro-style lounge just steps away.
How Gordon Ramsay Burger at Flamingo differs from its sister restaurant at Planet Hollywood is by offering a number of exclusive burgers and shakes. It also has an amazing Strip-side patio. Opening a second 12,000-square-foot location with 300 seats, an exhibition kitchen, island-style bar and patio will no doubt ease those half-hour wait times down the street.
And yes, we know Ramsay fans are wondering what’s new, so here you go: Ramsay has tagged nearly a dozen items on the menu with a flamingo to indicate that they’re exclusive to the location. This includes his Cluck Yeah G.F.C. (Gordon’s Fried Chicken) Sandwich on a pink brioche bun. While it’s not a hot chicken sandwich and lacks a honey sweetness, the red cabbage slaw and pickled red onions give it a unique tangy, almost kimchi, taste.
Other specialities include a Southwest burger with asadero cheese and avocado, a Benedict burger with a pork patty, canadian bacon and fried egg, and the Full English Breakfast Burger, which is exactly as it sounds. For those willing to splurge, there’s also the Steak Dinner Burger ($49.99) showcasing a Wagyu beef patty.
But Ramsay is also known for his unique shakes and he’s rolling out three: a swirly vanilla and chocolate shake, a sweet strawberry cheesecake version and a boozy Sticky Shake spiked with Irish whiskey.
And lastly, Ramsay wraps up service with a twist: a sticky toffee waffle with toasted pecans and dabs of vanilla ice cream.
Gordon Ramsay Burger at Flamingo Las Vegas is open daily from 10am to midnight.
