At the same time that Formula 1 race cars are speeding down the Las Vegas Strip, the Neon City Festival will be in full gear itself with a massive music and arts festival in the city’s downtown.
Wondering what it is? Here’s the scoop.
What is the Neon City Festival?
Only the largest free music festival the city has ever seen. This is the first year it’s happening and it’s being billed as an all-ages “festival without fences” in downtown Las Vegas. It will feature dozens of live bands and performances, art installations, food trucks, laser shows and nightly fireworks.
When is it and where will it be held?
The Neon City Festival will take place November 22 to 24 in downtown Las Vegas. Performances will be held at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center (DLVEC) and under the Fremont Street canopy on the Main Street, First Street and Third Street stages. Food vendors will be located along Casino Center Boulevard.
Who’s performing and when?
Neon Trees, TroyBoi, Seven Lions, the All-American Rejects, Alison Wonderland and Rusell Dickerson will headline. We’re also including a full lineup graphic below so you can plan accordingly to see your favorite acts. Performances start around 6pm every evening with the main headliners at 10pm and final performers hitting the stage at 11:30pm. Here’s a quick rundown on the late (i.e. bigger name) acts on each stage.

Are you serious? This is really a free festival?
Absolutely. It’s free for everyone to enjoy, with no tickets required.
Will there be food?
Festival guests can chow down on food from local vendors. This means taco trucks, empanada carts, sushi stands and much more. Food vendors will be located at Casino Center Boulevard on the north and south sides of Viva Vision, as well as at the Lott, located east of DLVEC across from 3rd Street. There’s also an Omaha Steaks Culinary Experience at DLVEC, featuring an all-you-can-eat tasting with whiskey-grilled steak, filet mignon burgers, shrimp ceviche and more.
Will this be like First Friday with shopping and art exhibits?
Yes, and yes. There will be a number of pop-up shops selling artwork, photography, jewelry, clothing and skateboard merch.
AREA15 is also participating with neon-lit artwork by Aliume at the “Wink World: Portals Into the Infinite” exhibit; an immersive activation by Illuminarium; and a photo opportunity with an art car creation by local artist Henry Chang. Guests will also get an exclusive sneak peek at two new AREA15 attractions: Superplastic’s Dopeameme and the John Wick Experience.
What’s this about a firework show?
Nightly fireworks will launch from the top of the Plaza Hotel & Casino promptly at 10pm.
