Food Network chef Esther Choi will show off her Korean cooking skills when she opens Mokbar (which has three locations in New York City) in Las Vegas this fall.

While there are still plenty of great buffets in Las Vegas, the food hall has become a worthy, sometimes upscale alternative for those looking for a quick bite on the Strip. Choi bringing Mokbar to the Forum Food Hall at Caesars Palace is evidence of just that.

This will be a fast-casual spot where diners will grab their food at the counter and eat in a cafeteria-style setting just off the casino floor. Choi’s use of fresh, seasonal ingredients are essential to her cuisine, meaning the menu will constantly change but many of her core staples will always be there.

Expect plump pan-fried dumplings, crispy Korean fried chicken, chewy noodle ramen soups, bulgogi rice bowls and steamed bao buns stuffed with pork belly, bulgogi or roasted mushrooms and avocado. Mokbar’s signature iced teas (flavors may include strawberry yuzu and ginger plum), sparkling soju cocktails and beer will be available.

Mokbar will join a reinvented Forum Food Hall at Caesars Palace that has seen several of its initial eateries close to be replaced with a slate of celebrity chefs. Bobby’s Burgers by Bobby Flay and Guy Fieri’s Chicken Guy! have already opened with Tortazo by Rick Bayless, Buddy V’s Pizzeria by Buddy Valastro and Mokbar all set to open later this year.
