Calling all amateur eaters and chicken wing lovers: PT’s Ranch is hosting its annual Ultimate Wing Down eating contest, and there’s big money—a total of $4,000—at stake.

This will be the tavern group’s fourth straight year holding a wing eating contest.

The contest will take place at PT’s Ranch on Pebble and Eastern this Saturday, August 3. Registration starts at 11:30am and requires a $10 entry fee. With the popularity of the contest growing, those wanting to participate are asked to arrive early as space is limited to the first 100 entrants. The contest itself kicks off around 1pm.

The rules are simple: Eat as many Jameson-sauced chicken wings in two minutes (we’re hearing the contest will only feature drums–no flats) and you’ll go home with $2,500. The second place finisher will win $1,000 and third place $500.

And, yes, if you participated last year you’ll notice there has been a sauce swap. Last year’s winner consumed 16 hot wings (plus an additional 16 in an “eat off” because of a tie).

It’s a big prize but, hey, it’s Vegas and we’re betting the winning eater will be shouting, “Winner winner chicken dinner” as they pocket their prize.

The contest location is PT’s Ranch, 2430 East Pebble Road.
