After 22 years and more than 9,000 performances at Rio Hotel & Casino, Chippendales is leaving their cozy confines for the lights of the Las Vegas Strip

The muscled men of Chippendales will take the Rio stage for the last time December 31 and move to the LINQ Hotel + Experience with a new show inside the Mat Franco Theater beginning January 14, 2025.

Consistently named the “Best Male Revue” in Las Vegas, the popular bachelorette party destination sold well over one million tickets during its 22-year Rio run, which featured more than 130 cast members tearing off more than 275,000 tank tops.

News of the Chippendales move comes as Rio turns its focus on phase two of the resort’s renovation, which will focus on modernizing the Masquerade Tower guest rooms and casino spaces there, possibly including the current Chippendales showroom.

Phase one of Rio’s $340 million renovation is now complete. It saw Dreamscape, which purchased the property from Caesars Entertainment, remodel all of the more than 1,500 suites in the Ipanema Tower and add dining and bar experiences like the Canteen Food Hall, Lapa Lounge and Luckley Tavern & Grill. More restaurants will be added in the second phase of the renovation.

Rio has also joined the Destination by Hyatt brand allowing World of Hyatt members to earn and redeem points for stays at the property.
