Famous for its boozy breakfasts, SoCal’s Broken Yolk Cafe has opened a new restaurant in downtown Las Vegas, and with 4,500 square feet of indoor space and a dog-friendly wraparound patio, it’s one of the chain’s larger eateries. Matching the downtown location, the diner’s mid-century design gives Palm Springs vibes with stone-accented walls and lime green booths.
Vegas is loaded with great brunch spots on the Strip worthy of a visit. What Broken Yolk brings to the table is a more casual atmosphere to attract locals with affordable prices and a page-turner of a menu. Expect omelettes and skillets; flavored pancakes and Belgian waffles; and burgers, wraps and salads.
But you’ll also find an entire South of the Border section with a Cali burrito and Baja breakfast tacos as well as six varieties of Benedicts, including a fried sope one stuffed with shredded beef and a chicken and waffle version.
With a full bar, Broken Yolk takes mimosas and Bloody Marys to the next level, offering flights of four mini cocktails along with several innovative signature drinks. Feeling adventurous? Give the cinnamon toast cereal milk a whirl: It’s a mix of RumChata, bourbon and milk with a cinnamon sugar rim.
The downtown location at 201 South Las Vegas Boulevard has extended hours and will be open daily from 7am to 4pm. Broken Yolk was founded in 1979 in San Diego and now has 38 U.S. locations.
