Let’s skate. From beach to roller rink, a popular Vegas dayclub is about to become Flipper’s Roller Boogie Palace for the winter.

While other pools, like those at the Cosmopolitan and Fontainebleau, are transforming into ice skating rinks as the weather cools, TAO Beach Dayclub at the Venetian is opting for wheels instead of blades and heating things up with DJs and disco. To create the all-ages roller skating experience, the dayclub has covered its two pools to form a 3,250-square-foot oval.

Flipper’s was founded by Liberty Ross and Kevin Wall and has the backing of R&B superstar Usher (he’s hosting the grand opening November 16). And if you remember Usher’s recent Super Bowl performance in Las Vegas, it featured the singer and his dancers performing two songs on roller skates.

Flipper’s Roller Boogie Palace opens at the Venetian on November 16 and runs through February. Skating takes place Thursday through Sunday from noon to 8pm with hour-long skate sessions costing $20 and all-day passes running $45. Guests can bring their own skates, or rent them for $5.
