Silverton

Time Out says

Its location, just off I-15 several miles south of the Strip, doesn’t flatter the Silverton. However, this is a surprisingly attractive property that, while by no means offering the Cosmopolitan or Aria much competition in the coolness or extravagance departments, is nonetheless smarter and more stylish than you might expect. The rooms are decent if somewhat expensive for the location, and the casino offers the usual array of table games and slots.

Entertainment is by and large limited to shows from guitar bands that could politely be described as ""vintage""; the hotel even persuaded Hootie & the Blowfish to lend their name to the agreeably retro Shady Grove Lounge. Twin Creeks Steakhouse, the Sundance Grill’s round-the-clock American classics and Seasons’ all-you-can-eat buffet headline the eating options. Bonus: Just across I-15 is the Bootlegger Bistro.

The casino is surprisingly expansive and upscale, with 1,600 machines and 29 table games; the video poker is good enough to attract the pros.
