A new age of fine dining at home

Sure, our favourite restaurants are currently banned from serving dinner and a potential lockdown situation (or maybe not) continues to plague our minds, but that doesn’t mean you can’t treat yourself to a slap-up meal at home. Plus, you could probably do with a pick-me-up right now! So, put down the cup noodles my friend, and order a meal you truly deserve. You may want to dress up, iron a table cloth or fold some napkins for the full experience, but either way, this will likely be the most comfortable fine-dining meal you’ll ever have.

It all comes with step-by-step video instructions, so don’t worry if you’re no Masterchef, and you’ll definitely get bragging rights when these dishes come out of your kitchen. You can also add on bottles of selected wine.

There are only two items available for takeaway from three-Michelin-starred restaurant Sushi Shikon: the futomaki (big sushi roll) and chirashi (diced sashimi on rice). Both items use the same premium ingredients that would be served at the restaurant’s sushi bar table, so will vary depending on when you order. Each takeaway box is placed in a stylish carry bag and includes home made soya sauce, ginger and chopsticks.

Takeaway orders for the futomaki ($950) and chirashi ($1,200) are available from Wednesday to Saturday and must be placed one day in advance before 5pm and can be picked up from 12pm to 2pm.

Meanwhile, the Singaporean sharing set for two comes with more classic Southeast Asian dishes such as rojak salad, black cod sambal and beef rendang with rice, and a rather special kata profiterole.
