Either way, it seems Hong Kong’s extended social distancing restrictions have tried to foil your romantic plans. Thankfully, Hong Kong’s restaurants have come up with some smashing Valentine’s Day dinners and afternoon teas to take your romantic meal or sweet treats home.

Take your romantic celebration home with Roganic’s Valentine’s Day meal kit to go. They’ll have their regular lunch menu in the restaurant too, but for those taking it away, you can prep and cook together – making those sweet memories – and then sit down to enjoy a seven-course meal ($2,000 per set for two) in the comfort of your own dining room. The takeaway menu includes their signature soda bread with whipped brown butter, uni custard with caviar, beef short rib and truffle creamed potato, and an apple tart with blackberries with caramel sauce.

This Valentine’s Day, Grand Hyatt’s gourmet takeaway menu for two will save you the hassle of making a romantic meal from scratch. Savour dishes like the premium seafood platter with whole Atlantic lobster, tiger prawn tails, mussels, and crab legs, before digging into the Grand Hyatt’s signature beef wellington and ending the night with ‘His & Hers’ desserts. You’ll have to order at least 24-hours in advance.

Uma Nota is presenting a six-course menu for dine-in and home delivery. The Valentine’s Day set menu ($450 per person) can be delivered to their door and comes with rose petals, a candle, personalised menus, and a special gift from home fragrance brand Cochine. They’ve even curated the Uma Nota’s Valentine’s Day playlist to help set the mood. The meal itself comes with dishes like tuna tataki, slow-roasted pork ribs,⁠ and a choice of the main course to share: 21 days aged sirloin with Brazilian vinaigrette or roasted sea bass with fried banana and passion fruit farofa, before a Pave de Chocolate dessert for two ends the evening on a sweet note.

If you love Japanese food, Fumi is offering a six-course Valentine’s Day dinner ($1,280 for two), which is also available in the restaurant for lunch, to take home or get delivered. Expect soft shell crab salad, fresh sashimi including Hokkaido sea urchin, Botan shrimp, young yellowtail, and Scallop, grilled lobster hokkaiyaki, sukiyaki-style Miyazaki beef, and chopped toro with Japanese leek on rice, and more.

The three-course Valentine’s Day meal at Hue Dining ($1,080 per person) is available in the restaurant but you can also take it home or have it delivered. Think truffle egg sandwich, chicken burritos, lobster tart and prawn salad as well as sweets like raspberry cheesecake topped with bird’s nest and sesame cookies with green tea ice cream.
