The Festival of Quilts 2015

Over 300 exhibitors take part in this celebratory festival of patchworking and quilting in all its manifestations. Alongside the galleries showcasing the best work from across the country, the event's special theatre space will host talks from leading artists, plus a fashion show and awards ceremony where the 2015 winner of the annual quilt making competition will be announced (Aug 6). Other highlights include a 'Designer Supper' where guests can enjoy a two-course dinner with wine followed by an informal talk form textile designer Zandra Rhodes (Aug 7), and practical workshops focussed on using positive and negative space, geometric patterns and using photoshop elements within textiles.
