Inheriting Rome

This display uses money to unpick Britain's connection with the imagery of the Roman Empire, as well as many other nations that channel Ancient Rome in the way their currency is designed. Coins from the Byzantine Empire, as well as examples from Georgia, Hungary and Armenia, will be on show.
