Greek Tragedy on the Small Screen

The Library of Birmingham host these two film screenings dedicated to made-for-TV films from the 70s. The BFI and the University of Birmingham have collaborated on the events, which will also include a short talk from senior lecturer in classics at the university Dr Elena Theodorakopoulos. Highlights include 'Oedipus the King' (1977) with Patrick Stewart taking the lead in an Open University production of the abridged second half of the play.
