Way back in 1853, Charles Dickens chose ‘A Christmas Carol’ for his first ever public reading at The Town Hall. Tonight, Clive Francis recreates that momentous event, bringing Dickens’ famous characters to life on stage and explaining more about the first reading and Dicken’ time in Birmingham.
