Each year the Old Rep Theatre stages an annual production and this year they've opted for The Mikado: Gilbert and Sullivan's most popular operetta which brims with satire and pokes fun at British morals despite being set in a far more exotic location. The story takes place in the Japanese town of Titipu where there's been a severe lack of executions for a while. The town's Lord High Executioner is informed his head may be next for the chop if the situation isn't rectified, which sends him in search of a willing volunteer to take his place. Will he find one or will the executioner have to execute himself?
