Dark and Lovely

Selina Thompson’s exploration into the history, connotations and ideas surrounding afro hair for black British females in the UK today. The piece uses snippets of recorded conversations, music and text written by Thompson to transforms tumbleweave from something ‘a little bit gross’ into something interesting, beautiful and a way of talking about what it means to be black.
