Time Out says

One of the best loved female voices in reggae music celebrates 50 years in the business with a very special tour this summer, hitting Birmingham's O2 Academy on Saturday August 29 for a gig rescheduled from May this year.

Marcia Griffiths is a true icon of the music she's been a part of since before it was called reggae, with numerous hit singles behind her and even a stint as one of Bob Marley's backing singers as part of I-Three.

For her fiftieth anniversary tour, she's enlisted past collaborators and fellow legends Bob Andy and Judy Mowatt, as well as newer Jamaican talent Tanya Stephens and Richie Spice.

All will be performing on the night alongside the 809 Band on what looks set to be one of the most essential reggae shows of the year.
