Loads of you will have bought a coffee from the Starbucks on Colmore Row. Still, as life-giving as its java can be on an early morning, we suspect that many would like the opportunity to take their trade to an independent.
Well, from August 3, you could instead opt to get your caffeine fix from Jake's Coffee Box – sited inside one of the iconic red telephone boxes tucked away on Eden Place, the alley that cuts through from Colmore Row to Edmund Street.
Inspired by Red Kiosk, a Brighton-based company which specialises in turning old phone booths into retail units, Jake's Coffee Box founder Jake Hollier is thought to be the first person in Birmingham to have repurposed a telephone box into a tiny business.
Along with a range of espresso-based products, Jake will be selling flavoured teas, hot chocolate, pastries and sausage rolls.
Needless to say, the phone box will be packed with so much equipment, there isn't even space for him to stand inside, so he will be operating the coffee machine from outside the box with the door open.
Jake hopes to offer a more personal coffee buying experience than some of the big franchises can offer and, hey, it's not every day you can purchase a macchiato and a muffin from a phone box.
August 3 will be a soft launch for Jake's Coffee Box, and you can take a look at the Facebook or Twitter pages for more details, as well as more information about the selection of food and drink Jake has managed to squeeze into his kiosk.
