A sneaky look at The Big Hoot 2015

From July 20 to September 27, 89 giant owl sculptures will be nesting down on the streets of Brum, each decorated by a different local artist, for The Big Hoot 2015.

Organised by Wild in Art working in partnership with Birmingham Children's Hospital, the sculptures will form an art trail that stretches right across the city, from Sutton Coldfield to Bournville and beyond.

Each has been sponsored by a local business or organisation and when the trail closes, they'll all be auctioned off to raise money for the Children's Hospital.

Impatient as ever, we couldn't wait to see what the owls looked like - so plundered Instagram for snaps of those that have already been put in place and sneak-peeks from the artists involved. As you can see, there are some stunning designs lined-up that we can't wait to spot around town.

If these whet your appetite for a bit of urban twitching, you can download a map of the entire trail by clicking here.
