Time Out says

A brash concrete neon metropolis that you just have to embrace, Star City features a range of activities that’ll keep you occupied whatever your tastes. Get warmed up at the 22-lane bowling alley, or try a round of mini-golf at at England’s largest indoor complex that’ll leave you drowning your sorrows in something obscenely sweet from the Tiki Cafe and pondering how it is physically possible to pot the final hole.

Next stop has to be a trip to Laser Station together with your inner child (or, you know, your actual child – we will admit that parts of Star City may have been designed with kids in mind). Either way, don your laser pack and infra red piece and go for top gun – this is not a game where it’s the taking part that counts.

If that all sounds too much like hard work, you’ll have no interest in the climbing centre, but one of Europe’s largest cinemas may be more of a pull – Star City’s got that too.

Most easily accessed by car, Star City is ten minutes out of the city centre and has nearly 2,500 free parking spaces. Watch out for funfairs, firework displays and first-rate circuses including Cirque De Soleil and the Moscow State.
