Wendy Ramshaw’s Room of Dreams

Artist jeweller, Wendy Ramshaw presents this installation of work which sees delicate necklaces and accessories line the walls in perfect frames, and large freestanding pieces of industrial feeling furniture take over the central space. Every item has been inspired by a dream or a dream-like situation, acting as a starting point for the viewer to concoct their own stories around the object. Influences include the tales of Alice in Wonderland, The Snow Queen, Rumpelstiltskin, A Midsummer Night's Dream and the story of ballerina Marie Taglioni who danced to save her precious jewels from a highwayman. The Room of Dreams is on long-term loan from a private collection and admission is free.
