Time Out says

A beautiful, multi-purpose space in the rather bleak surroundings of Hallesches Tor in Kreuzberg, Hallesches Haus combines an esoteric design store with a restaurant/café. A light, airy space, it's tasteful and very, very Berlin. The retail part of the venue stocks seemingly random assortment of general knick-knackerie from around the world, the kind of expensive, beautifully-crafted homeware and accessories that you never realised you needed until now. Beautiful, retro-styled coffee-makers, dinner plates, knives, cacti, bathroom unguents - that sort of thing. The cafe meanwhile, serves blisteringly good coffees from a local roastery and a delectable assortment of cakes, snacks and light dishes.
