This place has it all: history (an early Berlin wine merchant, its sparkling wine became known as 'Sekt', now the common German term); a lovely atmosphere in its airy, elegant rooms; great German/Austrian/French cuisine; and excellent service. The wine list is justifiably legendary, and if the prices look high, head for the bistro, where the same list holds sway along with perfect salads, cheese and ham plates, plus excellent desserts.
