Duncker does have a reasonably varied line-up but definitely operates within a very dark sphere. It's perfectly located in a neo-Gothic church in a non-descript Prenzlauer Berg side street. While the tail end of the week focuses mainly on new wave, dark wave and indie, it's the Monday night goth party that is the club's bread and butter. Surprisingly in a city the size of Berlin, venues catering for our friends in black are few and far between, making this a precious gem for fans of the genre. Duncker also has free concerts every Thursday night.
