Neukölln’s Weserstrasse is one of the driving forces behind the area’s hipster ascendency, shifting ever southwards towards Hermannstrasse. Its lively bar scene is punctuated by grown up affairs such as Tier. Looking in through the frosted windows, the long bar could be a facsimile of Hopper’s iconic Nighthawks. Its low-slung vintage fittings and soft lighting provide the perfect environment for those seeking intimate conversation and as the nghts lengthen, it can get pretty smoky in here. Their vinyl collection sticks to the classics, as does their cocktail menu, but they do a rotating experimental special, such as recent Gin Fizz variations, like Princess and the Pea, which is a carbonated blend of vodka, lemon, pea syrup and wheat beer.
