House of Weekend

Swish tourist-orientated nightspot high up on the 12th floor (and spreading up a few more) of the Haus der Reisens in Alexanderplatz, House of Weekend is an upmarket affair, more akin to New York than the grungy German capital. Inside, the lights and ceilings are low and the beats techno and deep house. The rooftop offers amazing 360 degree views of Berlin and in summer, its BBQ flushes out the city's high-rollers for long evenings of opulent partying. Considered irredeemably naff by Berlin's regular clubbers, it's a soulless, overpriced tourist trap.
