Time Out Market is a unique global concept, celebrating authentic flavours and bringing together the best food and chefs of the city, all under one roof. What started in 2014 with the opening of Time Out Market Lisbon has turned into a global phenomenon: Time Out Market Barcelona, which opened in July 2024, is the ninth location of this culinary concept, following in the footsteps of major cities around the world (New York, Montreal, Porto, Cape Town and more). 

You’ll find Time Out Market Barcelona at Port Vell, on the terrace-viewpoint of Maremagnum. Directly accessible from the street via escalators and a lift, the 5,250 square metre space features a curated selection of 14 chefs, a full-service restaurant and four bars, two of which are outdoors with spectacular views of the sea and the city, including iconic buildings like the Torre del Reloj in Barceloneta and the new fish market.

Impro Show for Christmas at the Time Out Market Barcelona

In Impro Show, the audience takes on the dual role of scriptwriter and protagonist. Guided by suggestions from randomly chosen spectators, improvisers craft roles, stories, and settings in this original and interactive performance. This improvised theater format has already delivered over 8,000 performances to 2,500,000 spectators, making it the second most-watched show in Catalonia. Since anything can happen in any performance, we still don’t know what surprises await at the Time Out Market Barcelona. What’s certain is that, for 75 minutes, the actors will whisk you away from your routine and invite you to imagine, laugh, and be amazed. And this Christmas season, they’ve prepared some extra surprises! They will be performing for free on December 5 and 9 at 8 PM. Make the most of your evening by enjoying drinks and a bite to eat before or after the show, and experience the best of Barcelona all under one roof—with spectacular views to match.

Bingo Musical para Eventos with drags at the Time Out Market

A bingo game is always entertaining. But if it’s with Bingo Musical para Eventos, a top-notch playlist in the background, and drag show queens like Pitita Queen or Clover Bish hosting and bringing their flair, it transforms into a transcendent experience. Enjoy it at the Time Out Market on Friday, December 27, with Pitita Queen, and Monday, December 30, with Clover Bish, from 8 PM to 9:30 PM. It's free, like many other Market activities; you’ll walk in without spending a penny, but you might walk out with your hands full, thanks to the bingo prizes! If you’re the lucky grand winner of the Bingo, the prize is spectacular: a double ticket to PortAventura Park and Ferrari Land. For hitting a line, you can win a double ticket to the Circ Raluy Legacy, debuting a new show at Port Vell in Barcelona on December 20, valid for the performance on Saturday, January 11, at 5 PM. For a column, the prize is a double ticket to the Barcelona Aquarium, where you can enjoy an exciting journey through the depths of the sea.

Michelin Dinners at the Time Out Market

Michelin dinners last until the final bite of the year! Gather your loved ones this Christmas season to enjoy dishes straight from the Red Guide every Friday in December from 8 PM to 11 PM. You’ll have the chance to savor a selection of four Michelin-starred dishes at an affordable price of €35 (dessert and drink included). The recipes are crafted by renowned and award-winning chefs Fran López, Jordi Artal, Lena Maria Grané, and Ricky Smith. López, a Catalan chef with two Michelin stars, specializes in Mediterranean signature cuisine. Artal is a master of contemporary cuisine, focusing on Catalan ingredients. Pastry chef Grané creates innovative desserts that taste heavenly, while Smith has traveled the world’s kitchens to channel all that expertise into his creations. No reservation is needed. Just show up at Barcelona's most delicious Market starting at 8 PM on Fridays, December 6, 13, 20, and 27, and place your order at the bar. Then, you can sit at any of the 1,000 tables in the Market, wait to be notified, and pick up your dishes. While you enjoy this explosion of flavors, the experience will be enhanced by the various free activities scheduled at the Market and the festive vibes in the background.

Christmas Workshops at TOMB: Face Painting

On Saturday, December 21, from 4 PM to 6 PM, Time Out Market will host a professional face painter who will paint children’s faces for free with a variety of designs, both Christmas-themed and fantasy-inspired. You’ll leave feeling like a completely different person! There’s no need to worry about anything, as all materials will be provided by the organizers. All you need to bring is your excitement and desire to transform into another character for a few hours! Afterward, you can celebrate with your family by enjoying the Market’s delicious and diverse culinary options along with its spectacular views. Time Out Market has a sack full of Christmas-themed children’s workshops lined up! You can enjoy them every weekend from December 14 to January 5. Additionally, the space will be beautifully decorated for the occasion, filled with lights, festive decorations, and a grand Christmas tree.

Cagatió at the Time Out Market

The Tió has made its way up to the Time Out Market this December, and it hasn’t been easy, as it’s no less than a meter tall. We’ve been feeding it for a while now to make sure it’s round enough to digest and expel all the gifts, and the big day is fast approaching: the Cagatió will take place at the Market on Sunday, December 22nd, from 4 PM to 6 PM, a free event that will delight the little ones. The event will feature an entertainer who will guide the traditional Cagatió ritual: kids will sing the song, hit the Tió, and it will reward them with sweet treats. And while you’re here enjoying the Market’s festive and family-friendly Christmas programming, why not grab a bite and a drink before or after the event? You’ll find the best food and drinks in Barcelona under one roof (and with spectacular views to match)!

On Saturdays, December 28 and January 4, from 12 PM to 2 PM, Time Out Market will host several storytellers to narrate the most exciting and educational children’s stories they have ever heard. They will use a microphone to ensure no one misses a word, and you won’t have to worry about a thing, as all materials will be provided by the organizers. Ready to let your imagination soar with these tales? Afterward, you can celebrate with your family, enjoying the Market’s delicious and diverse culinary options along with its spectacular views. Time Out Market has a sack full of Christmas-themed children’s workshops lined up! You can enjoy them every weekend from December 14 to January 5. The holiday season fills the city's streets with joy, lights, and decorations, and we've made sure it graces Time Out Market with great style. In addition to dressing up for the occasion, the market offers a wide range of family-friendly and free activities every weekend from December 14 to January 5. 'Dancing Kids' is a fun-filled family activity with dance and music, taking place on Sunday, December 29, from 12 PM to 2 PM at Time Out Market. This session features a playlist designed for kids and two expert instructors ready to bring out everyone’s inner dancer. They’ll learn different choreographies and have an amazing time singing and dancing! And if you get hungry afterward, don’t miss out on the delicious and diverse dining options at the Market while enjoying its dreamy sea views.
