One person’s clear-out is another’s find of the year. Bangkok’s vintage scene runs from blocstore’s archive designer rails at Lido Connect in Siam to Pattavikorn Market’s second-hand clothing heaps on Nawamin Road. In between, there are cowboy boots at (un)FASHION S39, vintage band tees at Zotusstore in Srinakarin Train Market and furniture worth the taxi ride at Papaya Studio in Bang Khen.
Some finds come with a bill that won’t sting (well, most of the time). Others are collector territory. Pick your level of rummaging: this list takes in specialist vintage shops, broader resale stores and flea markets, plus an air-conditioned detour to Ngamwongwan in neighbouring Nonthaburi.

Rustic wooden walls, wide windows and a serious leather habit. Behind EmQuartier on Sukhumvit Soi 39, (un)FASHION S39 leads with cowboy boots and leather belts, then widens out to imported Japanese pieces, high-end labels, accessories and the odd bit of small furniture. It’s the larger sibling of the Ekkamai original, with a café on site for when the rummaging gets serious.

Zero digging required. Owner Jon’s hand-picked edit of archive designer fashion runs to Balenciaga, Raf Simons, Saint Laurent and the like, with tightly curated rails inside Lido Connect. There’s an online shop for rare drops when Siam is a stretch. Enter through Gate 3, head upstairs and turn right – it’s opposite the Lido Poster Store.

Two shops, one warehouse. At Warehouse 30, Horse Unit fills the ground floor with vintage denim, T-shirts and military and utility pieces from various eras, surrounded by weathered artefacts and wooden floors. The couple behind it split the space between their collecting habits: upstairs, Woot Woot pairs vintage finds with handmade wooden furniture and work by Thai artists. Look out for handmade accessories, gemstones, taxidermy and nature-inspired collectibles.

Painted blue, so you can’t miss it. This multi-brand shop on Lido Connect’s second floor mixes pointy heels, long boots and sharp sunglasses with recycled-fabric swimwear and handcrafted accessories. The vintage edit leans feminine and fashion-conscious, with some harder-to-find pieces. Its Instagram styling sets that mix vintage with other labels stocked in the shop, including brands from Korea and Vietnam, so you can get a feel for the look before visiting.

Sunset shopping, nine floors up. USEMEREPEAT’s flagship sits inside 9FLOOR EXIT 1, a community showroom for fashion and art on the ninth floor of the Tang Hua Pak Building. The vintage designer edit includes Isabel Marant, Chloé and other archive pieces, with jewellery corners and seasonal pop-ups adding reasons to linger. Golden-hour views come with the browsing. Vintage tees, taken seriously. Kasidit’s shop sorts its stock into band, film, cartoon and rare T-shirts, making it easier to head straight for your particular obsession. Based in a warehouse unit at Srinakarin Train Market, it also sells to international buyers. This is collector territory as well as a place to find your next well-worn favourite.

Part collectors’ den, part film set. Papaya mixes vintage furniture, retro lamps and art with luggage, paintings and pop-culture curiosities – think Darth Vader figures and comic-book characters. Its current four-floor home is in Bang Khen, rather than the Lat Phrao address still found in older guides. Come for the hunt rather than a new jacket; entry is free and no appointment is needed.

Two floors, two moods. A Sukhumvit soi 39 fixture for more than a decade, Tokyo Joe puts luxury-brand tops, shoes, bags, watches and accessories on the ground floor. Upstairs goes street, with trainers, jeans and coats. Office wear and everyday pieces broaden the hunt, and the shop also buys pre-owned items from people looking to clear their wardrobes.

The tidy end of second-hand. This Japanese resale chain mixes luxury labels with cheaper finds across clothing, shoes, bags and vintage cameras, in a clean, well-organised space with a fitting room. Prices vary with brand and condition, so give the rails a proper look. There are several Bangkok branches, many near public transport; the Phra Khanong shop is an easy one to work into a day out.
