2023, eh? Done and dusted, just like that. It’s been a strange year. Twitter turned to ‘X’, Wilko captured our hearts, Barbieheimer was a thing and Girls Aloud announced they were getting back together. All in all though, it was a pretty decent twelve months for culture: we had epic new film releases, a tonne of albums, some mouth-wateringly delicious food and plenty of new openings.

As per tradition (and apparently because people care), we asked Time Out staff to choose their favourite things of 2023: including their new favourite song, book and album. Ready to f east upon the finest cultural pickings from 2023? We present to you Time Out’s best of the best.
