The Brooklyn Flea is undoubtedly one of the most popular flea markets to hit in NYC if you're looking for the best selection of throwback wares and records, which you certainly wouldn’t find in just any vintage clothing store or record store in the city. The food selection is also top-notch since the creators also operate one of the city’s best food markets: Smorgasburg.
Here’s what you need to know about Brooklyn Flea for 2024.
When does Brooklyn Flea start for the season?
The Brooklyn Flea in DUMBO is open every weekend from April through December from 10am-5pm. Its sister market Chelsea Flea is open year-round on weekends from 8am-5pm.
Where is Brooklyn Flea?
Brooklyn Flea is in DUMBO on the cobblestone streets beneath the DUMBO Archway (80 Pearl Street). You can find Chelsea Flea at 29 W. 25th Street in Manhattan.
What can I buy at Brooklyn Flea?
Both Brooklyn and Chelsea Feals feature hundreds of top vendors of furniture, vintage clothing, collectibles and antiques. Also expect to see a tightly curated selection of jewelry, art, and crafts by local artisans and designers.
Past vendors have included Van der Most Modern's midcentury Dutch furniture, Dan’s Parents’ House with tchotchkes and oddities, yesteryear ceramics, and Joan Van Hees' selection of throwback apparel.
What is there to eat at Brooklyn Flea?
The Flea doesn’t offer as many bites as Smorgasburg, but when the shopping fatigue sets in, there are a few food vendors selling their drool-worthy munchies at the Dumbo location. Saturday flea-goers can get a ride over to Marsha P. Johnson State Park (90 Kent Avenue) to satiate their hunger at Smorgasburg. Or walk just five minutes to Time Out Market New York for a selection of dishes from NYC's best restaurants.

Aside from hitting the snooze button, what’s the first thing you do in the morning? Peep your Insta feed, of course. Checking Brooklyn Flea’s page (@bkflea) is exactly what cofounder Eric Demby suggests you do: The feed posts about the cool events, from concerts and apparel customization, that you won't want to miss.
Also, keep in mind that vendors sell accept cash and many accept debit/credit cards. There are ATMs on site at both locations with a transaction fee of $2.50.
