Smorgasburg NYC 2024: Here’s everything you need to know about the Manhattan and Brooklyn food festival.
It’s finally outdoor eating and drinking season in New York City, and rooftop restaurants and bars citywide are throwing open their doors for the occasion. So, too, is Smorgasburg, which is back for 2024 with dozens of great local vendors across three locations.
In fact, with more than 70 vendors, it's the largest Smorgasburg lineup since 2018! Vendors this year will serve up fragrant Ethiopian stews, Hawaii-style street comforts, explosive pani puri, potato puff poutine, and lots more.
The annual foodie festival will pop up in Lower Manhattan, Williamsburg, and Prospect Park from April through October. Here's what to expect.
Smorgasburg is the food bazaar spectacular that unofficially announces summer in New York City every year. Founded by Brooklyn Flea’s Eric Demby and Jonathan Butler, the culinary extravaganza spotlights dozens of vendors across its locations. Smorg has three spots in 2024, two in Brooklyn (in Williamsburg and Prospect Park) and one in Mahattan (at the World Trade Center).
Smorgasburg WTC will open on April 5 and runs on Fridays. Smorgasburg Williamsburg will open on April 6, running on Saturdays. And Smorgasburg Prospect Park begins on April 7, then every Sunday after. Each location is open from 11am-6pm and operates weekly through October.
Find Smorgasburg World Trade Center around the Oculus at Fulton and Church Streets. The Williamsburg location is at Marsha P. Johnson State Park, 90 Kent Avenue. As for the Prospect Park pop-up, it's at Breeze Hill (enter at Lincoln Road).
New vendors for 2024: 88 Coffee Company, Bagel Joint NYC, Bom Bae, Double(s) or Nothin’, Emeye Ethiopian Cuisine, Fat Choy, Gotcha Focaccia, Je T'aime Patisserie, Kalihi, Kravings Kafe, Lisbonata, Ole & Steen, Perro Slang Food, Poutine Dauphine, Tosh’s Patties, Twig’m, Virginia Smashburginia, and Wings by Chef Picky.
Of the newcomers joining Smorgasburg, six are first-generation immigrant-owned businesses, and 11 are husband-and-wife-run or family-run.
Smorgasburg’s returning vendors include Mao’s Bao, Carlitos Barbecue Taqueria, Bona Bona Ice Cream, and Red Hook Lobster Pound.
Some vendors will operate at one location, and some will have a presence at all three, so be sure to check Smorgasburg's website before you go.
