Three Washington, D.C. restaurants made the cut in Tripadvisor's 2024 Travelers' Choice Awards, the travel research and booking platform's annual global survey of the best places to stay, eat and be entertained. Old Ebbitt Grill, No Goodbyes and Ben's Chili Bowl earned honors within the United States Restaurant category.

The restaurant list highlights nine categories in the U.S.: fine dining, date night, casual dining, hidden gems, pet-friendly, quick bites, vegetarian and vegan, sustainable and outdoor. Old Ebbitt was recognized at #21 on the list for best restaurants for casual dining, No Goodbyes was named sixth best pet-friendly U.S. restaurant and Ben's Chili Bowl took the 11th spot on the Quick Bites list. Famous for its iconic half-smoke sandwich, Ben's Chili Bowl has been a U. Street fixture since 1958. The famed carryout spot captured the eleventh spot on Tripadvisor's Quick Bites list, which highlights meals that are "no frills, all flavor, and best enjoyed on the go."

Places that get consistently positive reviews and ratings from travelers, meaning they're among the top 10% of listings get Travelers' Choice distinction; the top 1% of listings earn the Best of the Best ranking.
