Every year, 50 Top Pizza ranks the best pizza restaurants and slices around the world. Luckily for locals, one D.C. hotspot found itself amongst the top 10 pizzerias in the U.S. this year, earning a prestigious spot among fellow pizza legends, beat out only by New York City’s Una Pizza Napoletana. Slice & Pie near Meridian Hill Park was ranked at No. 2 on the list, making it a must-visit destination for both locals and out-of-towners.
So, how does 50 Top Pizza come up with its rankings? Throughout the year, the organization sends anonymous “inspectors” around the nation to try out every greasy slice and dissect not only the quality of the pizza but the entire restaurant experience, as well. And those with a particular proclivity for pizza will be happy to know that the restaurant’s pizza slice was also ranked number two in the organization’s pizza slice ranking, which debuted this year, coming in after L’Industrie Pizzeria.
Now that you know where to go to get your hands on one of the best slices in the country, the only question left to answer is whether to fold or not to fold.
