Time Out says

The Dupont Circle Hotel's bar us well-worth visiting even if you're not a guest. A mix between an Irish pub and an upscale cocktail lounge, Doyle is known for its innovative drinks and menu and round seating area that looks onto Dupont Circle.

The vibe: Elegant but not stuffy. This is a great place to take anyone you're trying to impress, but without the fussiness. You'll see a wide range of people here, including those taking business meetings, on dates and catching up with friends. You'll want to sink into the leather club seats and the expansive windows give a great view of Dupont Circle which makes it perfect for people watching.

The drink: You can get all the classics like martinis and Old Fashioneds here, but you should definitely take a look at the signature menu. The beautifully illustrated menu features drinks inspired by the various regions of the Emerald Isle. Two favorites of mine? The Down the Hatch, a refreshing mix of Dingle vodka, lemon, lime, gentian root and melon—perfect for Kerry, the region known for its green pastures. The Giant's Causeway, the selection for Antrim, is a satisfying meld of Irish and Scottish flavors and includes Scottish gin, rose water, elderflower tonic and lemon.

The food: Doyle offers elevated bar snacks like seasoned fries, but the best items on the menu are the Irish ones. Try the boxty, an Irish potato pancake, or the comforting dressed crab on brown Guiness bread.

Time Out tip: Doyle has the nicest bathroon of any bar I've visited. Be sure to use the Malin+Goetez hand lotion.
