If you’re headed to Vancouver, we can bet you’re buckling up for a great night out. The good news is that Canadians know how to party, and Vancouver is the party capital. This city is known for its eclectic mix of swanky cocktail bars, craft beer joints and, of course, chaotic nightclubs which stay open into the early hours.

At its heart is Gastown, Vancouver’s saloon-like neighborhood, where there’s also plenty of options for a pre-game beforehand. But Vancouver’s best clubs appear in all corners of the city, from wild nights in the Granville Entertainment District to a restored warehouse in Yaletown. Whatever you’re looking for, here’s our picks of the best clubs in Vancouver.

This restored warehouse in Yaletown has been a hip nighttime destination for more than two decades. With a lounge-y vibe, the club features bumping DJs—both local and international—on weekends. A cool, younger crowd packs Bar None on weekends; get on the guestlist for a smoother entry.

This half-century-old venue in the revitalized Mt. Pleasant neighbourhood was reopened in 2007 to highlight the local music scene. The intimate, 350-person space features up-and-coming bands and DJs from Vancouver and around the world. On the weekends, get ready to party to retro dance tunes and late-night party jams.

Home to some of the best electronic music in the city, The Red Room also hosts Vancouver’s longest-running Latin night, Cancun Night, which features reggaeton, merengue, salsa, bachata, and more. Other nights see national and international DJs rock the decks. The club’s design—with a sunken dance floor, a PK sound system, and intelligent lighting—makes it a top destination for dance-fueled parties.

One of Vancouver’s most exciting nightclubs, Levels has quickly become one of the most popular. Three levels decked out with LED lights feature dancing, bars, and VIP areas. The EDM-focused calendar features heavy-hitting DJs from all over, as Levels aims to compete with the best of the best. For the Insta-crowd, there’s a designated selfie area for the perfect pic.

For the latest of late nights, Gorg-o-mish hosts the after-after parties. This after-hours nightclub hosts the best of the underground, cutting-edge house and techno DJs on Fridays and Saturdays. Kicking things off at 2am when the other clubs are winding down, the party goes until 8am.

With a prime spot in the Granville Entertainment District, this Vancouver nightlife institution has been a longtime hotspot for everyone from university kids and social twenty-somethings to visiting celebs. DJs and live bands provide the music, and the high-energy crowds keep the dance floor moving until 3am every night of the week.

A state-of-the-art sound system powers the party at this chic nightclub in Chinatown. The events calendar is packed with top Canadian and international DJs spinning an eclectic mix of everything from hip-hop to R&B to techno. The club also hosts live music, a variety of themed nights, and artist showcases.

No bottle service, VIP lounges, or cutting-edge fashion here: This Main Street hotspot offers a more casual vibe with eclectic late-night dance parties like '80s vs '90s, Femme-Powered Hip-Hop, and Bring Your Own Vinyl. Other nights may feature live music, comedians sharing Tinder stories, or improv comedy nights.

Hit the dance floor or catch a view of the action from upstairs. Tuesdays are the hottest nights of the week, as crowds queue up for cutting-edge music and wallet-friendly drink specials.
