Beauty meets burrito with an unlikely collaboration between e.l.f. Cosmetics and Chipotle. The two mega-brands are teaming up to launch a limited-edition makeup collection on March 10. The launch includes an eyeshadow palette inspired by the assembly line at Chipotle, a salsa-colored lip gloss, an avocado-shaped face sponge, and a makeup case that looks like a bag of chips.
Without a doubt, the star of the show is the eyeshadow palette, which includes 12 shimmery and matte shades that are designed to match ingredients like white rice, pinto beans, hot salsa, corn salsa and lettuce. The $16 palette includes a coupon for free chips and guac at Chipotle—naturally.
"There is nothing tastier or prettier than the combination of burritos and makeup!" e.l.f. Chief Marketing Officer Kory Marchisotto said in a press release. "We have long admired Chipotle and we are thrilled to come together to do things that neither one of us have done before. We share the same renegade spirit and are both committed to bringing the best ingredients to our consumers at extraordinary prices."
When it launches on March 10, the delicious collection will be available for purchase via e.l.f. Cosmetics and Chipotle's merch site (yes, that's a thing). The pair has one last surprise up its sleeve: From March 10–17, Chipotle will roll out a vegan entrée inspired by drag queens Trixie Mattel and Kim Chi to "support plant-based lifestyles and responsibly-sourced products." The bowl includes white rice, pinto beans, chili-corn salsa, tomatillo salsa, guac, lettuce and a side of chips. Salsa lip gloss sold separately.
