The annual World Travel Awards released their findings last week and, to the surprise of just about no one, Maui has come out on top of the list of leading honeymoon destinations in North America in 2020.

The romantic Hawaiian town beat out the likes of Las Vegas (Nevada), Miami Beach (Florida), Napa Valley (California), Niagara Falls (Canada), Sanibel Island (Florida) and Vancouver Island (Canada). Although Maui had already landed at the number one spot between 2010 and 2014 and then again in 2016 and 2017, Miami Beach earned the title last year and the year before that.
Of course, going on a honeymoon requires getting married first and we all know that plenty of people have had to unfortunately completely change their 2020-scheduled nuptials. That being said, smaller weddings don't necessarily translate to smaller honeymoons—so why not indulge in a trip of a lifetime to celebrate the occasion?
In terms of travel restrictions, all incoming tourists are required to self-quarantine for 14 days upon arrival unless showing proof of a negative COVID-19 test from a state-approved and trusted testing partner. You can find a list of them right here and more information about travel details to the state over here.
Needless to say, safety always comes first, but we do suggest you find a way to celebrate tying the knot, especially in the midst of a pretty chaotic year.
