Theme park enthusiasts have been eagerly awaiting news of Orlando’s newest theme park, and Universal has finally revealed the opening date. After getting a sneak peek of Epic Universe back in January, fans can now circle May 22, 2025, in their calendars, as this is when the ambitious new theme park is set to open. Those ready to make plans can purchase tickets soon, too.
Epic Universe will be the first theme park to open in Orlando in more than twenty years, joining the ranks of Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure and Volcano Bay. The expansion also includes three brand-new on-site resorts: the Universal Stella Nova Resort (opening January 21, 2025), the Universal Terra Luna Resort (opening February 25, 2025) and the showstopping Universal Helios Grand Hotel, which will be the first resort connected directly to a theme park.
Epic Universe will have 50 thrilling attractions, plus a slew of new shopping and dining spots. The park will be split into five immersive lands: The Wizarding World of Harry Potter—Ministry of Magic, Super Nintendo World, Celestial Park, Dark Universe and How To Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk. Each land features next-level attractions that push the boundaries of themed entertainment with cutting-edge, game-changing tech.
So when can you snag tickets to Epic Universe? The first round of tickets will go on sale on October 22, 2024. Multi-day tickets will include a one-day admission to Universal Epic Universe. Book a vacation package with two or more nights, and you’ll snag that same perk, plus early park access. If you’re holding out for single-day tickets, two-day tickets or the coveted Express Pass, those will drop later on. Annual Passholders will get first dibs on single-day tickets starting October 24, 2024. Reservations for the Universal Helios Grand Hotel open on October 22, 2024, with the first stays available on opening day, May 22, 2025.
