You've likely tried meditation by now to get through the past couple years. From in-person sessions to apps and YouTube, there are plenty of options for calming the mind. But if you’re ready to take your meditation practice to the next level, now’s your chance to find zen with a majestic wolf.

Naples, located in southwest Florida’s Paradise Coast on the Gulf of Mexico, is home to Shy Wolf Sanctuary, a refuge for wolves and other animals not accepted by government animal services, wildlife rehabilitators, or zoos. The sanctuary offers rehabilitation for all kinds of animals (including prairie dogs, tortoises, bobcats and sugar gliders) and therapeutic, educational experiences for two-leggers. The wait to privately visit the sanctuary can be a year or more, but upcoming on-site meditation sessions are a unique opportunity to visit and commune with the animals.

Meditations will be led by experts trained in a variety of healing and relaxation techniques, from holistic coaching and Reiki healing to yoga nidra and energy work. During each session, guides will lead participants through the sanctuary to meet and connect with the wolves and conduct the meditations.

Communing with nature can be a powerful way to relax and calm your mind. Throw in the opportunity to connect with wild animals while meditating, and sounds like a recipe for pure bliss.

Meditations are held twice a month on Wednesdays. Tickets, $35 each, are available for purchase here.
