Travel website Hot Wire just launched a pretty cool promotion through which folks may use the company's "Happy Next Holidays" generator to create a customized message that will be sent to their families to break the bad news.
Said message may take different forms, including an email, flyover plane banner, social media post or even a billboard.
The best part? Anyone using the generator will automatically be entered into the company's "IOU-trip" giveaway. Hotwire promises to offer the lucky winner an all-expenses-paid-for trip that will include the entire family and will be valued around $25,000. Specifically, your flights and hotel will be covered and you'll also receive an extra $15,580 in cash to spend while away.
"We know that this year has been tough on everyone, to say the least, and people are really feeling the stress as we head into the holiday season—a time that under normal circumstances, we reunite with family and friends from around the country," said Nick Graham, head of Hotwire, in an official press release announcing the news. "While a trip home might not be in the cards this year, we're committed to giving travelers something to look forward to and a little comic relief in the meantime."
To use the generator, simply head to happynextholidays.hotwire.com, follow the prompts and then submit the registration form to enter the awesome sweepstakes. Good luck, folks!
