This year, your Black Friday may look starkly different from what you're used to—and not necessarily because of COVID-19. In fact, Coupon Lawn is looking to hire one lucky person to go on an $8,000 online shopping spree on November 27. There's a catch, of course: you'll have 60 minutes to spend all that cash.
RECOMMENDED: You'll soon be able to sign up for a free cruise likely going nowhere
The details are as follows: your shopping routine will have to take place on the company's website entirely, which will keep track of your purchases. You'll also be required to try at least 10 different merchants to "test the validity and effectiveness of our coupons and deals." Finally, the chosen shopper will have to keep a diary chronicling the experience and the supposed benefits of using coupons and deals.
In addition to being able to hold on to everything you end up buying, Coupon Lawn will actually give you the "exact amount of deducted money after using the coupon in each purchase" in order to entice you to try and make use of the very best deals out there.
Why is the company offering such a staggeringly amazing deal, you might wonder? According to the promotion's site, Coupon Lawn aims "to observe the changes in online shopping habits and the effectiveness of coupons during the post-pandemic."
To apply, you'll have to send a 60-second introductory video starring yourself, plus a 300-word essay explaining why you should be hired. You've got until November 26 at 11:59pm EST to complete the application, which you can find right here. The winner will be chosen within five hours of the application's deadline but beware that, if you happen to be the lucky candidate, you'll only have 24 hours to claim the prize. After that, the company will go ahead and select a replacement.
