If you haven’t done your grocery run for Thanksgiving yet, the pilgrims are pissed at you. But odds are, you did the big run but forgot that one thing, the absolutely essential ingredient without which the meal will not be successful (nutmeg? Whipped cream? The turkey?). Some stores will be open with begrudging employees who will eye you with Miles Standish-ish disdain, but almost certainly, if the store is open, it’s only with limited hours so that employees can, like you, enjoy the day with their families.
